The first page is $8.00

Each additional page is $3.00

Recording charge for any instrument containing more than one real estate description by book and page only - each additional description is $1.00

All titles are $9.00.  Registration, Sales Tax, and Licensing are done in the County Treasurer's Office.

Duplicate titles are $9.00 - there is an eleven (11) day waiting period before duplicate titles can be made. Click here for a copy of the Application for Duplicate Title Form - Notarization is required.

Non-Resident titles are $9.00

Titles can be made for multipurpose vehicles as of January 2008.

A VIN Inspection  is required for all out of state titles. Click to print this form.  It too must be notarized.

An  Out-State VIN Inspection  can be completed by a law enforcement official in another state if the vehicle is in another state.  The officer's signature must be notarized.  We need to have the original document in our office in order to make your title

To transfer a title, all parties listed as owners on the title must sign before a notary to release the title.

You have 45 days from the date of purchase (from a dealer) to pay sales tax and license fees before incurring a penalty.

You have 30 days to pay sales tax and license fees when you purchase a vehicle from a private party and you have a notarized signed- over title.  You can have 45 days if you have a  notarized bill of sale.  When  you have the title made in your name, you must pay sales tax immediately.

Marriage Licenses

Required Information

To get a marriage license, you both must be at least 18 years of age.  If one or both of your ages is 16-17, a parent or guardian must sign for you.
If you are 15 or under, you must get permission from a Court Judge
The fee is $25.00
You must know where you were born (state or country), where your parents were born, your mother's maiden name, your social security number and date of any previous divorce, annulment or death in a previous marriage.
There is no waiting period and the license is good for at least one year.
You do not need to get a blood test

We have Social Security application/correction forms.  The Social Security  Administration only accepts original documents or copies certified by the custodian of the record.  Notarized copies are not acceptable.  For an original card you must show proof of:  Age, Identity, and U.S. Citizenship or Lawful Alien Status.  For a Duplicate Card (no name change), you must show proof of identity.  For a Corrected Card because of a name change, you must show proof of identity.  To Change your name, you need one or more documents identifying you by your Old Name and your New Name.  For More Information, contact the Social Security Administration in your area.

You can get a Notary Public application booklet in our office.  After you are bonded, it will be $11.00 to file in the County Clerk's Office.
